a simple prayer
time passes ever so steadily
at times rushing.. others, only trickling
water under the bridge, as it were
traumatic memories fade
peaceful ones only growing closer to my heart
the memory of your smile, still within me
words we spoke at the end have left this place
rushing by..time has helped to heal these wounds
at first the task seemed insurmountable
and yes, here I am with only forgiveness in my heart
the gifts you gave me will stay with me
perhaps you did not realize the true gift you offered me
... the gift of an open heart
... the chance to esperience true love
though we have parted wats
your gift remains alive in me
left without words to express this, to you
I offer you a simple prayer..
To the one who opened my heart..
To Sarah..
I pray that you walk with an open heart
that the true beauty that is you,
is seen
is heard
is felt
by all those you surround yourself with
that in your life you find happiness
... true joy ...
I pray that the true depth of the gift you have given me
is known.. is felt..

Here's another poem a wrote day before last..for those of you that are out of the loop Sarah is my ex-gf, and lets just say we had kind of an ugly breakup.
