shining like a diamond through rejection and dismissal, they fail to see our fire
lost in this flurry of emotion.. like bright flakes scattered about in the wind..
amongst the confusion and chaos of the world we stand still.. stand strong..
they try and try.. stomp.. stomp.. they trying to extinguish the spark within

the frown only covering the smile in our hearts, not showing them what is inside
fear not with us.. only a knowing that they do not understand what it is we have..
they would call it some type of devils play, but we know.. we know what this is..
the happiness we feel within clouded by the masks we hold up.. we see the truth

great winds of change blow, little do they know it only help to fan this flame
the kisses strong.. kept from the eyes of the all, you are all that I can see..
they tie us down, supressing, oppressing, they attempt to control our heart..
they don't understand what it is to love, we are so young, yet we understand

they anoint themselves, requesting protection against all that they fear
why do they not see.. love makes you whole, it is the only true strength..
the time has come, it is time that they see, time that they understand..
confusion and strife abound, why don't they accept the truth?


rejected in this world.. in our love..

in one night, we gave our hearts..

will not be...
